Welcome to Day 5! Hallelujah! God Is so good!!
Wonderful Father in Heaven. You are Holy. How I exalt You in every place in my heart and soul. You sit enthroned in the center of my being. I give You glory, honor, and praise. You are worthy of it all. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on Earth as it is in heaven. Forgive me for any transgressions. I forgive and release anyone who has transgressed against me. I seek You for fresh manna today. Keep me far away and hidden from the evil one as I sit at Your feet to learn. Your presence is sweeter than honey. Thank You for speaking to my heart the words, “Come away with me.” I ask for your understanding regarding all the verses below from Mark 6:31 to Song of Solomon 2:10 and 8:14. Be my vision and hearing to know what You are saying throughout the scripture. I adore You and want to know You more. Praise You in this place, this day that You have made! I rejoice. In Jesus name. Amen.
“Come away with me.”
As He spoke these words to my heart, I could only respond with grateful tears. How is it that the Creator of the Universe is asking me to come away with Him? I was doing errands having just seen a beloved sister in the Lord. Our fellowship and friendship is one that I cherish because she loves Jesus without bounds. The Lord had placed it on my heart to ask if she wanted to 'come with me' for a walk. And so we did on the beautiful day that the Lord made for our fellowship.
“Come away with me.”
I thought immediately of Song of Solomon when I pondered the words. Once home, I searched it up in my Bible.
“My beloved spoke and said to me, “Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, come with me.”
--Song of Solomon 2:10 (NIV)
My Bridegroom, and yours, speaks to us and calls us beautiful. For we are His Bride, the one that He died for, and is coming for again. Get up and get ready. I think the story of the deliverance of God's people out of Egypt. Instructions connecting with the first Passover were given to the people before the 10th plague. In Exodus 12:11, God told them to be ready to leave with sandals, belt, and cloaks on. Right now, He is calling to our hearts to seek Him more and to get ready. Will you prepare for Him?
“Come away, my beloved, and be like a gazelle or like a young stag on the spice-laden mountains."
--Song of Solomon 8:14 (NIV)
He then led me to this verse. To go up higher onto the mountain to a place where I can be closer to Him. He calls me beloved. He gives strength to my body for the trip. I focused on the spice-laden mountains and paused. Spices used in the anointing oil and in the incense that were placed before the ark of the covenant from Exodus 30:22-38 were to be considered holy. Same spices here are also among those mentioned in Song of Solomon 4:13-14. Studying further I see some of the same spices listed in Song of Solomon found in both the jar of perfume poured onto Jesus' feet in John 12:3 and the spices used for the preparation of Jesus body after the crucifixion. I am in awe. I reflect on mountain top experiences for men of God like Abraham, Isaac, and Moses. There are so many more including our Lord Jesus at His sermon on the Mount and his death on Golgotha, Mount Calvary. All I know right now, God is calling me to travel to the mountains to be with Him for time away. Worship and praise Him. Sit and listen.
“Come away with me.”
And so I will. Is He calling you too for time away?
I leave you, my brothers and sisters with this. Jesus said in Mark 6:31, "Come away with me. Let us go alone to a quiet place and rest for a while." (NIV)
I pray for rest for you today. Enjoy Him and His presence.
