Joyful Noise Ministry is a mission that has been placed on the hearts of Scott Townley and Stephanie Tashiro-Townley in December of 2022. The need for a place for worshippers to be able to grow instrumentally and/or vocally in an informal, encouraging environment arose. The community worship group concept was tried over a series of four (4) meeting times over fall 2023. The result was joy, resulting from fellowship with each other, and worship. Having friends at various churches who also joined in as available, the inspiration to extend this to the community was born.

Experiences with music ministry

      Scott and Stephanie are known for their service to people of all ages, from preschoolers to adult. Music is a blessing at all ages and teaching music and worship is at the heart of the founders of Joyful Noise Ministry. Both Scott and Stephanie have been church musicians since their youth themselves and continued ministering in church orchestra pits, in a gospel big band, sharing original music, and leading worship. They have built several worship teams after having led worship at a small church in Auburn, WA.  Combining their experience and their heart for outreach to bring music to the lost has been a hallmark of their music ministry. This has been seen in their gospel big band performances and sharing music at the Bread of Life Mission and Union Gospel Mission. When contacted, Scott and Stephanie were honored to lead worship at family camps and at a Family Life Marriage staff retreat. 

   

Recent season of ministry

     After a season of rest, growth, and testimony building, Scott and Stephanie returned to serve in various ways at their church in support of women's ministry programs and as needed for congregational worship leading. The highlight over the past few years has been their return to teaching children music within the church. With the many decades of experience teaching music at music academies, youth music programs, and private schools, they stepped in to provide choral instruction and support the children's choir to produce ministry events for Christmas over the past few years.

       Joyful Noise Ministry allows for Scott and Stephanie to bring together their gifts of building teams, encouraging, and equipping worshippers of all ages. Their heart's cry is to see any who participate experience the healing found in the transformative presence of God each time they meet in community. Giving worship to the One who gave it all on Calvary, even informally, is acceptable to Him who loves to hear His kids make a joyful noise for His Glory. Please join us!
